    Lexus engineers traveled the equivalent of 26 times around the Earth to create the ideal driving feel. By widening the track almost two inches and increasing the body rigidity through additional optimally placed spot- and laser-weld points, the result is a vehicle that will change the way you see Lexus.

ALL-WEATHER DRIVE

    The GS is engineered to handle all types of curves-even those thrown by Mother Nature. By monitoring current driving conditions, available all-wheel drive automatically allocates engine power between the front and rear axles from 50/50 to as much as 30/70. This can provide improved traction and control on a wide range of road surfaces and in inclement weather.

    Boasting direct injection, one of the most powerful  base engines in its class and the core sound of the LFA, the GS takes driver engagement to new heights.

GS HYBRID

     While its 34 MPG highway rating and stringent SULEV II emission status might be the envy of many 2.0-liter compacts, don't assumeperformance was somehow sacrificed in the development of the GS 450h. Not even close. Equipped with the world's first direct-injected Atkinson-cycle engine and dual hybrid-motor system for greater response, it rockets from 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds [*] and generates the G-forces of a high-performance V8.

     Available Lexus Enform and Safety Connect offer more than the convenience of live, 24-hour navigation assistance and the ability to request emergency services at the press of a button. With the new App Suite, you can make dinner reservations and order movie tickets on the fly using the industry's first available 12.3-inch high-resolution split-screen multimedia display.

MILLIMETERS THAT ARE MILES AHEAD.

     Among the many thoughtful and innovative touched you'll discover throughout the GS, the available steering wheel in the GS Hybrid is as unique as it is stunning. It's crafted with bamboo that's painstakingly bowed from a single piece and then individually hand-sanded for a smooth finish.

PASSIVE SAFETY

     While an ordinary crash test dummy can provide 119 data points, Lexus uses digital models comprised of millions. The result of such an innovative approach to safety: The GS is equipped with a class-leading 10-airbag system that includes an all-new side-impact airbag design to help provide additional support for the rib cage and upper arm.

NIGHT VIEW

     Available Night View uses near-infrared technology to detect pedestrians and other objects beyond the  reach of low-beam headlamps. If an object is detected, it can display the image on the navigation display.

ACTIVE SAFETY

     To help you change lanes more safely, the available Blind Spot Monitor can warn you if it detects vehicles approaching or positioned in the adjacent lanes.
